Thank You Father For:
I will be far from [even the thought of] oppression, for I will not fear,
For Christ purchased my freedom and redeemed me from the curse of the Law and its condemnation by becoming a curse for me—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs [crucified] on a tree (cross)
He (Jesus) who was born of God [carefully] keeps and protects me, and the evil one does not touch me. I have the mind of Christ [to be guided by His thoughts and purposes].
And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over my heart and my mind in Christ Jesus is mine.
These signs will accompany me as I have believed: in Jesus’ name I will cast out demons, I will speak in new tongues;I will pick up serpents, and if I drink anything deadly, it will not hurt me; I will lay hands on the sick, and they will get well.”
As I give, and it will be given to me. They will pour into my lap a good measure—pressed down, shaken together, and running over [with no space left for more].
For I have overcome and conquered the enemy because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of my testimony…
I am a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a consecrated nation, a [special] people for God’s own possession, so that I may proclaim the excellencies [the wonderful deeds and virtues and perfections] of Him who called me out of darkness into His marvelous light.
My Prayer For You!
My Father in heaven, holy is Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done, in earth as it is in heaven.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there…even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.
How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand – when I awake, I am still with you.
I pray that You would bless me and enlarge my border, and that Your hand might be with me, and You would keep me from evil so it might not hurt me!
By having the eyes of my heart flooded with light, so that I can know and understand the hope to which You have called me, and how rich is His glorious inheritance in the saints (Your set-apart ones),
For I know the plans You have for me, Lord. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give me a future and a hope.
I will not be afraid [there is nothing to fear], for You are with me; I will not look around in terror and be dismayed, for You are my God. You will strengthen and harden me to difficulties, yes, You will help me; yes, You will hold me up and retain me with Your [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice.
And You, my God shall supply all my needs according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
You will keep me in perfect peace, because my mind is stayed on You, because I trust in You.”
I love you, For the LORD my God is with me wherever I go.
From Thought to Word to Destiny
Jesus said, “Let there be light!” There was light. He said, “Lazarus come forth,” and he came forth. He also said, “For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”
With up to 50,000 thoughts per day running through our minds there is ample opportunity to release those thoughts through our words. It all begins right there in our minds. Those thoughts unchecked will direct the course of your life.
So, we must first examine what it is we are allowing into our soul (mind, will, emotions) each day. Are you watching TV or listening to radio? If so, what types of programs are you giving permission to enter your soul and shape your life?
Everything that comes your way each day affects you. Sounds, sights, feelings, etc… If the truth of the Word of God is dwelling in you daily however, it will warn you of invading forces sent to apprehend your mind and heart. Simply put, whatever you allow to access your thoughts, perceptions, and dreams, will eventually shape your character and control your destiny. It’s like a computer virus. It will come in a way that you may not even realize because you’re just doing your thing as usual. Then one day, BAM, down goes your computer.
Do you find yourself speaking words to or about people which are born of fear, anger, or insecurity? At the moment those words escape your lips they have been given life. We must speak life! This especially true in marriage. The husband and wife are to love, honor, and bless each other daily. They are to pray and speak life and courage into each other. En-courage (put courage in,) not dis-courage (take courage out).
God has the perfect plan for your life! He knew you before you were in your mother’s womb. you have been fearfully and wonderfully made in His image. Isn’t it possible that He also has an amazing plan for you? By taking captive EVERY thought and making it give up and obey Christ, you can control your thoughts, therefore your words, and allow God to shape your character leading to Divine destiny by speaking life into every situation!
Below are just a few examples of words I hear people speak regularly to their children and each other.
They say: Instead Say:
You’re killing me I Thank God for you
You’ll never amount to anything You can accomplish anything
We can’t afford that We’ll pray for provision
You’re so stupid You are so intelligent
Don’t wreck the car Drive safely
My diabetes is killing me I thank God for perfect health
You’re going to give me a heart attack You bless my heart
I’m scared Thank you for courage
I’m sorry I apologize
Words such as “we cannot afford that” can actually plant a seed pf poverty! Once we take ownership of a disease or circumstance, it now owns us! Jesus is either the Son of God and spoke truth or not. We get to decide what to believe and how much of it we have in our lives.
My prayer is that we all choose life! The eternal words of life. Get into God’s word and let it pour over you as you soak in His rich presence. Do this and watch how life changes!
“Sticks and stones may break my bones but names (words) can never hurt me.”
On many occasions over the years I have come across stories where spoken words created all kinds of trouble for the person on the receiving end. Stories of adults speaking unkind words over children, children over friends, and well meaning doctors over patients.
I’ve also seen how very positive uplifting words have shaped champions and lead to salvation!
Romans 10:9 states; If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Think about how extremely powerful that scripture is. Our eternity depends on this!
Also powerful is the prognosis from someone saying that a person has XYZ disease and X months to live. What happens next is crucial. That person is now presented with an opportunity to believe in their heart that they have XYZ disease and confess with their mouth to family and friends.
Is it possible that the same power of belief and the tongue for salvation can also accomplish the opposite results? After all, Proverbs 18:21 says; “Death and life are in the power of the tongue…”
I’ve read many stories of seemingly healthy people going in for a physical checkup and hear the words you have _____ disease and 6 months to live. Within a few months the person passes.
I have also witnessed an adult using words of love, respect and kindness to transform a child into a caring and powerful woman of God. I’ve seen the sicked healed by words of life spoken over them.
I am by no means saying that anyone with a disease has cursed themselves or been cursed. What I am saying, however, is that WE DO HAVE POWER IN OUR TONGUES TO CREATE! It’s never too late to reverse course.
God spoke and the worlds were framed and made. He then said “let us make man in our image.” That’s a big deal! Jesus spoke to Lazarus; “Come forth!” And said, “Little girl arise!” “Let their be light.” Words are very important. Your words are very important. Choose them wisely and with great care.
Let’s believe God, speak life over ourselves and others, and walk in and enjoy the awesome life God has given us to live!
